Dr. Kent Moore

Kent Moore is a professor of physics in the Department of Chemical and Physical Sciences at UTM. He has a Ph.D. in Geophysical Fluid Dynamics from Princeton University.

 

Professor Moore’s research interests include the following: theoretical geophysical fluid dynamics, mesoscale meteorology, observational studies of high latitude air-sea-ice interactions, physical oceanography, paleoclimatology and high altitude physiology. Professor Moore has played a leadership role in a number of national and international research collaborations aimed at improving our understanding the Arctic climate and how it is changing.

 

Professor Moore has also trained over 40 undergraduate students, graduate students and post-doctoral fellows who have gone onto varied careers in private industry, government and academe.
